Mission
The Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) of BGNU is committed to advancing institutional excellence by fostering innovation, engaging with the community, enhancing student success, supporting faculty development, and embracing adaptability.
Aims and Objectives
The primary aim of BGNU-QEC is to ensure and enhance the overall quality of education within the Baba Guru Nanak University (BGNU). The main aims and objectives of BGNU-QEC are to:

monitor the on-going quality initiatives in Baba Guru Nanak University
- Conduct a review of institutional performance evaluation (RIPE) and self-assessment (SAR) of academic programs.
- Review the on-going PhD, MS/MPhil or equivalent programs and ensure quality of newly introduced academic programmes as per HEC criteria,
- Accreditation of programs from respective accreditation councils (NACTE, NBEAC, NCEAC, PCATP, PAC, PBC, NAEAC),
- Launching of the PhD programs and MS/MPhil & Equivalent Programs,
- Conduct awareness seminars/conferences/workshops/trainings on Quality Assurance within University and involving resource person(s) from outside the University,
- Encourage and assist departments of the University to ensure quality in teaching and assessment in the various academic programs,
- Act as a liaison office between University and external agencies such as HEC, PHEC, HED and other HEIs for quality assurance,
- Participate in various rankings such as QS rankings, Times Higher Education (THE) rankings, UI GreenMetric rankings, HEC national rankings etc.
- Conduct the teacher and course evaluations,
- Prepare the university portfolio report (UPR)
