Functions of QEC

  • Promoting public confidence that the quality and standards of the award of degrees are enhanced and safeguarded through implementation of HEC (QA)pPolices and criteria’s for plagiarism policy, faculty appointment criteria and minimum admission criteria of MS/M.Phil. and PhD or equivalent programs
  • Reviewing the quality standards of university programs through Self-Assessment of its academic programs.
  • Improving the quality of teaching and learning in each subject area by monitoring the performance of university faculty members through Teacher and Course Evaluation in each fall/Spring semester.
  • Reviewing academic affiliations with other institutions in terms of effective management of standards and quality of programs by Contributions and Participations in Academic Quality Assurance activities at National & International Level.
  • Developing program specifications including knowledge, understanding and skill through periodic Review & Revision of existing curriculums.
  • Ensuring that the university's quality assurance procedures are designed to improve and maintain the quality of higher education by conducting Institutional Performance Evaluation (IPE).
  • Developing qualifications framework by setting out the attributes and abilities that can be expected from the holder of a qualification i.e. 1 ½ or 2 years Bachelors, 4 years Bachelors, 2 years’ Master, 2 years’ M.Phil./MS and 3 years’ Doctoral etc.
